DONATION BOXES FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the clear box glass or Plexiglas?
The cash box is crafted from 3/8” Clear acrylic with a light green tint. When glued, beveled and buffed it has the appearance of glass.

The logos and words on the acrylic…are they etched?
Words and logo are engraved into the inside of the acrylic panel. 

How is the logo printed on the base?
The logo is normally not printed. It is engraved approximately ¼ inch deep and then a colored acrylic inlay is set in place.  When there is too much detail, a vinyl decal is printed and applied to the acrylic inlay.

How do I tell you what colors I want?
 If you are referring to the base of the donation box our standard finishes are an epoxy texture in  off-white, black, light and dark grey.  Other colors can be matched with a onetime charge of $75.00 per color, regardless of the number of boxes ordered. You can use Sherwin Williams or Glidden color reference numbers

Please use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) numbers; when specifying colors for your logo.   Logo color matches are normally no charge.  We will try to match your color selection as closely as possible.

In what format do you need the logo art work?
We prefer a vector image that may be enlarged without pixel distortion. However, we have successfully used   ai, bmp, eps, jpg and pdf files. It is best just to send your file for a review. 

How is the cash box locked?
All donation boxes have a flush lock; on the pedestal it is on a rear removable panel, desk top on a removable drawer, and wall mount under the front base.

How  large is the money slot on the acrylic top?
The slot is 3/8” wide x 5” long.

 How much does the donation box weigh?
The actual weight is 25 pounds for the wall mount, 35 pounds – desk top and 55 pounds for the pedestal. 

How long is the turnaround time once we place an order (one piece)?
Our normal lead time is 2 weeks. If you have an event please let us know when it needs to be there.  

What additional charges are there?
The only other cost is shipping and handling in the 48 contiguous states $75.00 per pedestal, $45.00 per desktop, and $35.00 per wall mount.

Will you ship to Canada?
Yes, please provide ship to city and postal code and we will prepare a quotation. 

How much wording can I have on the acrylic?
You have approximately a 10.5” x 10.5” area to work with. However, your guests should be able to read it 10 feet away. 

Can I have wording and or a logo on the sides and back of the acrylic?
Yes, just let us know what you need and we can quote you a price.

Can I have a logo put on four sides of the base?
No, just 3 sides, the back must remain for the rear access door.  

Does the money fall down into the pedestal?
The money will fall on to the removable floor of the acrylic box or through the opening into the removable cash drawer.

How do I access the cash drawer?
The back of the pedestal has a locking removable panel 11.25” x 12”.  Once removed, a shelf with cash drawer is accessible as well as a lower storage area.

Can I have 2 locks with different keys?
Yes, that is one of the options we offer.

What is to keep it from falling over?
Although the pedestal weighs 55 pounds; through the rear door you can add weight to the bottom storage area.

Can it be mounted to the floor?
Through the rear opening you can reach the base; drill and add screws to the base.

How thick it the material used to construct the pedestal?
The material is 1” thick; glued, no assembly screws.

Will you make custom designs?
Our limitations are shipping costs. We use a 48” x 20” x 20” box to allow for 2” packing for shipment.  An additional inch in any direction increases the shipping cost dramatically. Otherwise, we can make many variations to our product.  Just give us a call or send us a drawing. 

Does the pedestal donation box meet ADA Accessibility Guidelines?
Of course you need to provide an accessible route of travel. The height of our pedestal is 42” and reach depth at the slot is 6 3/4”. Both dimensions meet the criteria of the ADA, ABA and California Code of Regulations.

Can we power the lighted donation box with a direct wall plug?
Yes, but we prefer not to sell it this way due to the potential tripping hazard.  

How long does the battery last when the LEDs are lighted?
Approximately 21 hours or more for alkaline batteries.

 How much wording can I have on the acrylic?
You have approximately a 4” x 10.5” area to work with. However, your guests should be able to read it 10 feet away.

 How do I access the money?
 The desktop has a flush locking drawer. 

How long does the battery last when the LEDs are lighted?
 Approximately 21 hours or more for alkaline batteries.

 How much wording can I have on the acrylic?
You have approximately an 8” x 9” area to work with. However, your guests should be able to read it 10 feet away.

How do I access the money?
The wall mount has a flush lock on the bottom surface. The whole unit opens on a hinge and has a money bin.

How long does the battery last when the LEDs are lighted?
Approximately 32 hours or more for alkaline batteries.
